City gardening

I sighted these tsumani walls made city gardens in Tsukuda (which is on a small reclaimed land island in Chuo ward, about 3 kilometers from the central station).

The little compartments are allotted to families who can then grow anything they like in them, flowers, herbs, tomatos… Difficult to imagine these things in comparable public spaces in Europe – I’m sure you’d have to deal with people stealing your tasty ripe tomatos!
